Warm, wet December day. Walking off-trail I noticed a green ribbon in a small holly bush, I didn't think much of it and was halfway through the bush when I thought "snake" and looked down and confirmed. This little one was still there after I got through and turned around. This one is recovering from some kind of earlier (not due to my clumsiness) tail damage. This is the second or third of these snakes that I have seen but I don't see any records in this area.
