Adult found on the crawl along Gauja river. I initially took a picture of the habitat when the snake was visible in the habitat picture, but overlooked the snake. Afterwards I came back and I spotted the snake entering a stump hole. I was able to secure the snake momentarily for a voucher shot, but let the snake go shortly after I realized there was no way for me to get the snake out risk free of harm.
