Notes:
This was a very unexpected find! While P. inexpectatus ranges to Hillsborough County, and can be found frequently in undeveloped areas, I have never seen one where I live in the 13 months that I have lived here. I saw this specimen while walking my dog - it was crawling around the carport of the house across from mine.

For reference, I live on MacDill AFB, which sits at the southern tip of the heavily developed Interbay Peninsual in Tampa. The only lizards I have ever seen here are brown anoles and tropical house geckos. Native species were believed to be confined to undeveloped areas of the base, and not found in residential areas. This proves that wrong, unless this specimen is a stowaway.
