Notes:
This species is still listed in Amphibian Species of the World database as Polypedates maculatus, but most herpetologists in India consider this Himalayan population to be a distinct species Polypedates himalayensis Annandale, 1912. Unlike P. maculatus, this species almost always lays its eggs on the ground, often on the under side of rocks near streams (next photo).
