Two small whiptails were seen running under the same sparse bush at the same time. The weather had been cloudy and cool, with sporadic rainshowers, for much of the morning and previous day. The sun had come out for a while and warmed up the ground pretty well before they were found. A couple fence lizards and a number of sideblotched lizards were also seen during this 2.5 hr. hike.
