Notes:
This should be Dispholidus typus viridis but I couldn't seem to get it to pop up. I was called by a Zulu gentleman in a panic about a "green mamba" in a house. I met him in town and then followed him to the home. I assured them it was not likely a green mamba as we are not in their natural distribution. I had to methodically pull a bedroom apart. Luckily the young men there were helpful and followed my instructions. I found this male in the corner behind the brick the bed was on. Once I got my capture boxes in place, from hook in a coil to getting the snake in one of the capture boxes was under a minute. I answered questions and they were grateful. This was my first boomslang capture without my husband or in scenario practices. I was over the moon excited I could help a family, save a snake and not have any problems. First photo is the entrance to the house for georeferencing. The boomslang is currently in an outdoor enclosure we have until we can release it later today.
